Magnuson Products, manufacturer of superchargers and supercharger systems for foreign and domestic vehicles is pleased to announce the availability of the newly designed, intercooled supercharger system for the 5.7L, V-8 powered Chevrolet Corvette . CARB has granted EO #D-488-6 for emissions compliance. Intercooled kits are available in silver powder coat and polished finishes.
Kit includes a front inlet 5th Gen supercharger with integral bypass valve, patented cast aluminum intake manifold replacing the factory composite unit and features the latest in proprietary intercooler airflow technology (patent pending). Additionally, a 180° rotation of supercharger provides straight airflow path for maximum power and efficiency and the "Internal bypass valve" virtually eliminates parasitic loss... while delivering a proven 30 to 66% increase in real world "under the curve" power with horsepower increases of 130* and 130* ft. lbs. of torque increases being verified on chassis dynamometers. Best of all, it costs less than 1/3 of a horse at 60 mph. Now that's real efficiency.
Intercooled Corvette supercharger systems are complete with all components necessary for installation. Included in the kit is the cast aluminum intake manifold and all necessary hardware to complete the entire installation. Other components in the system include new fuel injectors, extruded aluminum fuel rails, and “push lock connectors” utilized in the fuel system for ease of installation.
Requires a custom, aftermarket hood.
The included computer programmer communicates with the factory ECU or proper calibration of the supercharger system, and emissions compliance. Optional extended power train warranty is available for customer piece of mind.
The computer programmer re-flashes factory ECU, spark and fuel control, transmission shift points, line pressures and torque converter strategies are optimized to manage increased torque, horsepower and mileage.
*This is an estimation from the manufacturer. Gain may vary at higher altitudes.
